Audre Budrys most recently performed her one woman show Une Baye at Prop Theatre. In May 2008, Audre brought this show to Boston and New York, as well as to Washington, DC, where the performance was part of Europe Week, a cultural event sponsored by the embassies of the European Union. Audre has also performed with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Mary-Arrchie, Emerald City, Theatre at the Center (Munster, IN), touring company Chamber Theatre Productions (Boston, MA) and the Drama Theatres of Kaunas and Siauliai (Lithuania). She originated the roles of Birute and Ona in Kestutis Nakas's When Lithuania Ruled the World, part IV, at the Chicago Cultural Center. Audre also teaches at Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston and Harold Washington College in Chicago. Audre is very grateful to be a part of this show, and thanks the inspiring co-directors, cast and crew of Maria's Field! She must be drawn to those Russian authors - in spring Audre will appear in Piven Theatre Ensemble's production of Gogol's The Overcoat and The Nose. Kestutis and Kajus, without you, none of this would be possible - love you fellows!
